[00:00:00] Kym: Hey everybody. Welcome back to another episode of the Traveling Therapist podcast. Excited to have our guest back again for a second episode. Lauren Ashley is here again. I had her on episode 160 and we were talking about building a coaching business with intention and during that episode we started to kind of touch on this thing that I love and that's human design.

[00:00:22] And Lauren was like, oh my God, I know about human designs. And we like almost started to like go into it. I was like, you know what? Wait, let's. Come back and have another episode on this because it, it deserves its own topic in my opinion. And I told Lauren, I was like, I've got my human design chart. So wouldn't it be fun to talk about it some and then like, just go over my chart.

[00:00:40] 'cause you guys know I'm an open book. Like I share everything on this podcast. So I thought that would be fun to do.

[00:00:46] So Lauren, welcome back. I would love if you'd introduce yourself and then let's dive into like human design and what it is and all that good stuff.

[00:00:55] Lauren: Yeah. So, I think I probably did a better intro on the last episode. But yeah, basically I'm a manifesting generator in human design, so I touch many things. I have many skills and gifts. One of them being. The energetics. I absolutely love energetics and frequency and I love to see how energetics play a role in our lives.

[00:01:18] And I think that, you know, when we can kind of tap into the energy of how we're experiencing the world and how we show up, we can actually tune back into our power and be the version of ourselves that we came here to be. the last couple years I've been focusing a lot on like business marketing and all of that jazz.

[00:01:38] I also do a lot of mindset work and honestly, if I can like explain it in a nutshell, I'm basically the homeopath or naturopath for your life in business. So when you're trying to do things and you're trying to get somewhere and it's not flowing, it's not working, you can come to me and we can look at why that is and do the inner work that will help catapult you toward the life and the business that um, life and or business. It's not just business for me but yeah, catapult you toward that greater purpose, let's call it.

[00:02:11] Because I believe we all have a, a purpose here on earth. And some people will kind of. Have like a deeper knowing that they need to do something with their lives, but they're not really sure what that is yet. Anyway, so that's kind of

[00:02:25] Kym: I love it. Yeah,

[00:02:26] Lauren: a little bit about

[00:02:27] Kym: It's amazing. And I like how you said business and life, because it's not like you can just do one or the other. It's

[00:02:31] Lauren: Yeah, it's holistic. It's like one affects the other. Absolutely. And I think that that's a huge gap in the business industry that I actually I'm looking forward to kind of tuning back into because it's so marketing and strategy focused and it's like, well, no, we are the center of our businesses. We are the nucleus of it. And if we don't look at that piece, that's, I mean, that's all of it, right?

[00:02:55] Kym: Yeah. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I mean, and obviously being a therapist, we are taught like the bio-psychosocial, like every part of the whole person matters. You have to treat all of it. So I'm sure as a coach you run in that, into that too. And, clients probably that aren't, therapists that aren't really in touch with that like whole MINDBODY piece and how it has to be in synchronicity really to be able to function and like manifest what you want in life.

[00:03:17] Yeah, totally. Well let's talk about human design. Like let's do a little crash course about what it is. 'cause gosh, I can't even remember when I first heard about it, but of course I ran and did like the free human design test online.

[00:03:29] I was like, oh my God, this is so me. This is so cool. Oh, I remember now. It was a therapist I had, she was really into it and she was like, well, let's do your human design chart. And then I just like really dove into it some. I would love to hear you explain it to people listening.

[00:03:44] Lauren: So human design was kind of birthed into existence in 1987 by a guy who's previously was named Alan Krakauer or something, I don't know exactly how to pronounce his name, but changed his name to Raw Uru who, and that's what the human design industry knows him as.

[00:04:01] It's kind of cool how it came to be, I really like the story of it, apparently. he was out like at a cabin on a walk with his dog or something, and he came back from this walk and it was dark out, but there was a light on, like a bright light in the cabin and he didn't leave any lights on. And so basically when he got back to the cabin is when he started channeling all of this information.

[00:04:26] What's cool about it is like he channeled it, but it's actually a, tool that combines astrology, the I chang the Kabbalah and the chakra system, so it's new, but like, pulls on other tools, which I think is really cool. And it, it really gives us this holistic view on who we came here to be, how we're designed to interact with life,

[00:04:52] how we're designed to you know, accomplish our goals and like, not even just accomplish our goals, but find fulfillment how we're designed to exist and maybe challenge others or support others, support ourselves, all of that. There's so much information that we can look at on the individual level. And I also love to look at when other charts impact

[00:05:17] Kym: Oh, yes. Like relationships.

[00:05:19] Lauren: Uh Huh. Yeah, and you know, 'cause our aura, so our aura extends, I believe it's 15 feet. I just referenced this like last week and I forget it already, but I believe it's 15 feet around our body. And so anybody that you're like crossing paths with, we pick up on energy. And this is a specific area of interest for me right now because I had this experience last year

[00:05:44] where I fell into like a super huge depression, which was so unusual for me. I've never really experienced anything like that before. And going through that experience actually led me to looking at the chakra part of the chart and how we pick up on energy from others and how we can become our not self, which means that we're in a state that's kind of like tainted, if you will.

[00:06:14] It's got like other people's energy mixed into it, and it in a sense, fragments who we are and how we show up in the world. I'll dive into that in a little bit, but that's kind of just like an overview of human design and what I'm focused on right now. So yeah.

[00:06:29] Kym: Interesting. Yeah, I had a, um, I did a sales page one time and it was like not converting at all, and I was like, what is up with this? And I somehow, I came across this copywriter that used your human design to write your sales page, and I was like this is right at my alley. So of course I hired her to help me and she redid the sales page and it, it really did it, you know, based on my chart and my human design and all of that.

[00:06:55] And it really just felt so much better to me. Like somebody else had done the sales page and I was like, you know, whatever, we got the words there. Hopefully it's gonna sell. But I, you know. I wasn't like connected to it as I was after she corrected the sales page. And then I was like, I felt better about like putting it out there into the world 'cause it was like more me, you know?

[00:07:14] Lauren: Mm-hmm. Yeah. And that's a huge thing in business that I, I love to explore that as well, because there's so much in the world, not just business, but career life, like everything, where people are like, no, do it this way, or like, here's a template, but especially for people like you and I who are here for a bigger purpose and a bigger mission,

[00:07:34] our business has to reflect our soul and like our, I guess our design, you know, like the way that we are designed to put wisdom out into the world or share information, and there's a lot of little nuances within human design that I love to look at because it's so subtle. The shift can be so subtle, but so potent, so, yeah.

[00:07:57] Kym: So how do you like when you work with a new client, is that a tool you just always incorporate in? 'cause you wanna know what their human design is.

[00:08:04] Lauren: Yeah, I do now. And the reason being is because there's like, like I said, so much nuance, right? And so an answer that might work really well for me as a human being might not be the right answer for my client. And as a coach, I'm not really like. My initial journey as a coach was very much not telling people what to do and how to do things.

[00:08:27] It was kind of like this deconditioning of being the one who knows all the answers and just facilitating that process within my clients. And also there is a real element of it that I do have a lot of wisdom to share from my journey and a lot that I can mentor on. And mentorship is something I'm here to step into.

[00:08:47] So, okay, how do I do that? In a way that best serves my client because I could have a practice or a tool that's worked really well for me, but if my client has a completely different energetic makeup, that tool might be completely irrelevant or like impossible. Not impossible, but just not the right fit for them to process what they need to process, if that makes sense.

[00:09:10] seeing their human design chart helps me in our conversations. I'll pick up on little bits of like, oh. This is why you're saying that, and this is how we need to align with that energy part of your chart,

[00:09:22] Kym: mm-hmm. That makes perfect sense. Yeah, and some of the therapists listening to this might cringe, but I have definitely used this as a tool with my own clients that are a little more woo woo like me. You know, like, go do the free assessment. Let's just see what it says about your personality. Let's see what insights it gives us.

[00:09:38] And it really is a helpful, like interventional tool for a lot of people to say, oh. Well, that's why I'm like that or that, that's why I haven't done that yet, because it's not time or you know, or because of that line right there that says, you know, that blocks me because of this or that.

[00:09:53] So I thought it would be fun if we went over my chart and just talked about some of the like highlights and maybe if somebody goes and does a free tool or wants to work with you and have you really walk them through this just to give them an idea of like what we're even talking about. Like what even is it, you

[00:10:09] Lauren: Yeah, absolutely. I love it. So the very first place I'm gonna do it, like super basic. There's so much more I can get into. This tool goes very in depth, but because I don't know, I'm assuming people are new to this, so I'm gonna stick to kind of the, primary information that we need to start with.

[00:10:28] So there are five different energy types. Oh, I need to back up and just say something. Because you mentioned something about using the tool with people who are more, a little bit like more woo woo, spiritually open, and something that I always tell my clients is that this is a tool that's not a cold, hard truth.

[00:10:46] It's meant for experimentation. And while yes, some of it is going to like a hundred percent resonate, I don't recommend using this tool to box yourself in to meet some sort of standard that you're reading about, because this is a really big thing that I've noticed sometimes people will do. They'll be like, oh, I need to be this way because my chart says this about me and that's not the case. It's really just meant as a reflective self-awareness tool to be able to grow into, evolve into our our highest potential.

[00:11:19] So we have five energy types in human design and each of the energy types kind of serves a different function, if you will, in the world. So we have the generator, manifesting generator, the manifestor, projector, and reflector. So your type is the generator type and generators and manifesting generators.

[00:11:40] They are what we call the sacral being so. We're basically the energy that keeps the world moving. We have access to consistent access to life force energy, and it keeps. Kind of like a generator, right? It keeps the world turning, it keeps the world spinning, it keeps things moving. Now for the other three types, our generator type makes up around, I believe it's 68% of the population that includes both generators and manifesting generators.

[00:12:11] For our non generator types, they experience a lot of pressure to keep up with us. And I say us 'cause I'm a manifesting generator, so I also have access to the sacral center. So when we are in alignment with our sacral center, which means that when we are doing things that genuinely light us up and we're putting our energy toward the things that we really love or the things that give us satisfaction. We can basically wake up with like sun up and go all day long until sundown because we have so much access to energy. However. If we find ourselves in a place where our plate is too full and we're over committed because people will also pick up on the fact that we have life force energy and we'll get a lot of requests for, you know, like support or can you help with this?

[00:13:05] Or can you do that? We can get to a place and this is something that the generator has to work on in this lifetime, we can get to a place where we find ourselves overloaded and burnt out. And so when we're in a space of burnout, we actually have zero access to our our life force. Um, So what's really cool, I'm kind of getting into the centers right now, but what's cool about the centers is we have what's called defined centers and undefined centers.

[00:13:34] And our defined centers, which if you are a generator type, you will have a defined sacral. It operates basically on like zero to a hundred. Like if the energy's turned on, it's turned on, but if it's not in alignment, it's turned off and you don't have access. And so again, just like subtle nuances, because the undefined centers, they are here to basically learn and like each of the undefined centers are here to learn and absorb information and to

[00:14:05] become a mirror for others in that kind of topic or theme, depending on what center we're looking at, but where we can get kind of kinked up, if you will, is if we are taking that information, that energy and absorbing it and holding onto it, it's not ours to hold onto. So what's really great and what I'm really enjoying right now is looking at where are we picking up.

[00:14:29] On energy that's not actually ours. And I'll just give an example from your chart. So two of the centers that you and I have in common that are undefined and open to receiving from other people are the heart center and the emotional center. So the heart center's all about willpower. It's about value, it's about money.

[00:14:52] Something that I personally struggle with that you may or may not relate to is that if I'm trying to pull on willpower to get me going. It doesn't work.

[00:15:01] It just like, I can't will myself to do something. However, I have a parent who has a defined heart center and they have the ability to will themselves into action. They have so much willpower, like when they commit to something, they are there, they can make it. And that's something I've compared myself to a lot because I'm like, well, if this parental figure can do it, why can't I do it?

[00:15:30] You know, I should be more like them. But again, like when I come back to looking at my chart, I'm like, wait a minute. I'm not actually designed to move from that place. I'm designed to move with my sacral yes and no.

[00:15:40] So if it's a yes, okay, yeah, I'll have the energy to do it, but if it's a sacral, no, then I have to honor that instead of trying to push myself to be something that I'm not, you know? Yeah. Does any of that land for

[00:15:54] Kym: Oh, totally. Yeah. I mean, I, I've been told this before, like, and I really have a hard time listening to the stake role, yes or no, because I know it's in there. Like, and I'll just like, right, ignore right over it. I mean, I'll hear the loud, like, hell no, you don't wanna do that. And then maybe it's the undefined heart or whatever.

[00:16:10] I'll just go right on through anyway and do it anyway, so I, I know that. I'm supposed to follow that, but I don't always.

[00:16:17] Lauren: it's a practice. It requires a lot of practice. Can I ask do you tend to kind of make decisions from the mind instead, like, when you override your gut, does it go like to logic?

[00:16:29] Kym: yeah. So it goes to, well, I should do that, or I

[00:16:31] Lauren: Mm-hmm. Right. Mm-hmm.

[00:16:33] Kym: know, if it's something that like, I don't wanna do, like public speaking, I touched on that earlier before we hit record, like public speaking, like every bone in my body is like, no. But then my mind is like, you need to, this is your business.

[00:16:44] People are asking you to do it. You have information to share, like that whole thing. So that's been a real struggle for me, but. Yeah, for sure. Like always trying to work on that. sacral, like, let me go. Like my friend, I have a friend Megan. She always goes in and does a little internal check, and she's like, Hmm, that's a no for me.

[00:17:01] I'm

[00:17:02] Lauren: Yeah.

[00:17:02] Kym: man, I wish I could do that consistently. Yeah.

[00:17:05] Lauren: totally can. You can. It just, it takes the practice, right? It takes consistently having that inner dialogue and conversation with ourselves and also feeling it right? Because a lot of us spend so much time in our heads that we're not actually feeling the bodies.

[00:17:22] Impulses are the body's responses. And our body is really wise. Our body picks up on other people's energy and can almost see the future before we can. So while like, and this is where it gets really interesting because. Every individual's body is going to know the answer that's right for them. It might not be right for everybody else, but it's right for them.

[00:17:47] However, because we spend so much time in the mind and because society is kind of. Built on this idea that we need to be logical human beings and make logical decisions, and society really values a logical mind. We tend to follow that over our internal guidance system. Right? And you have a defined mind, which means that you likely struggle with.

[00:18:16] A lot of mental activity. If you are not in control of it, like if you're not managing, there are always tools to manage our energy. No matter what shows up in our chart, it's just like we have to become aware and obviously utilize the tools that we have.

[00:18:32] Kym: Yes. Yes.

[00:18:33] Lauren: but I could see how your mind would override your gut is because you also have a lot of activity there. So your process might look like something that could work for you is maybe paying attention to that initial gut response and then having an outlet to process the logical stuff because it is there and it is necessary for your existence to kind of.

[00:19:00] Like have a space for that to come through, if that makes sense. Right. So it could look like journaling, it could look like talking it out, but then having enough space to come back to, okay, what was my initial gut response? You know? Mm-hmm. And just, yeah.

[00:19:16] Kym: definitely talk things out . My boyfriend, my boyfriend's like, why do you have to crowdsource every decision?

[00:19:21] Lauren: But it's helpful. It's helpful because it.

[00:19:23] Kym: is.

[00:19:24] Lauren: It allows.

[00:19:25] Kym: about it. Like, what do you think? What do you think? What do you think? You know? And then I do go back to, okay, well this is what I wanna do. He is like, why did you even talk about it if you already knew what you were gonna do?

[00:19:33] Lauren: Yeah, totally. Totally. Yeah. So having space to be able to do that. Something that is interesting in what you just mentioned though is the undefined heart tends to seek validation, so just something to pay attention to because is this coming from a place of like, I need others' validation, or is this part of my process?

[00:19:54] Mm-hmm.

[00:19:55] Kym: you're like, girl I can go on.

[00:19:58] Lauren: I just love the energetics of it. It's so fascinating to me. So another center that we both have in common is the undefined emotional solar plexus, which can make us very sensitive to other people's emotions.

[00:20:12] So we can pick up on and be very empathetic, but again, we need to be sure that we have tools to process that.

[00:20:18] This is the center, I believe, that was responsible for my depression last summer. I wasn't taking care of this center. I also had other stuff going on, like I was picking up on other people's mindset, beliefs and all of that jazz. But definitely I was experiencing a lot of self-worth stuff. And then a lot of like really deep emotions that I just like did not know how to manage. And there are some beings that are here who are literally designed to feel the highs and lows of the world. They're meant to go through that And it's really beautiful actually, because one of my favorite artists right now because of her last album is Billie Eilish.

[00:21:00] She has a defined emotional center, and her last album was so emotionally. Like raw and big. So people with the defined emotional center can actually turn those emotions into really beautiful pieces of art. Um, Yeah. When they learn how to process, not that undefined, emotional centers can't, I'm a very artistic person as well, but there's just something so different about it.

[00:21:25] Like someone with a defined emotional center, they can go so, so deep and ultimately it's really beautiful. And then for people like you and I though, we need tools to be able to detach from that. 'cause other people's emotions can be so big and our body system's actually not designed to hold onto that and onto that level of emotion.

[00:21:46] However, if we don't learn tools to process, then we do hold onto it, right?

[00:21:52] Kym: Yeah.

[00:21:53] Lauren: I was kind of driving myself crazy last year 'cause I'm like, why am I feeling all of these things? I don't understand any of this, you know? and then, you know, I started to kind of dive deeper into my human design and the energetics of it all.

[00:22:07] And I was like, oh, of course. Like I'm not, I'm not energetically managing myself like I was, you know, trying to run and like take care of my body, my mindset, all of that jazz. But the energetics, like the, I don't know if you would call it spiritual side, energetic side of it was not being properly maintained 'cause I wasn't really on top of my awareness practice.

[00:22:30] the other thing that's interesting with this center too, I've noticed, I don't know if you've ever had this, but. I sometimes would make decisions and sometimes still get stuck here. Make decisions out of excitement

[00:22:43] Kym: yes.

[00:22:44] Lauren: over my gut, and that's actually someone else's influence and this is what I mean when you pull up two people's charts because we get impacted by others, right? So I had a friend once, come to me and she's like, oh my God, this investment thing that I started like that I just got into is so great. It's so cool. You should join in. And my initial gut response was, this sounds fishy.

[00:23:06] No. But I was so overpowered by her excitement because again, I was picking up and absorbing it and like holding onto it that I decided to jump in anyway. And that investment completely. Was a huge fluff, so I lost over a thousand dollars.

[00:23:22] Kym: Oh, no.

[00:23:23] Lauren: like, yeah, it's whatever. But that's an example of Right. You live and you learn. That's an example of how Other people's emotions can, influence us depending on, again, how we're defined, how we're not defined.

[00:23:35] Kym: And I tell ya, if I get on a plane or in a like real crowded movie theater or something, like I can pick up, like I get so freaking anxious and, I mean, I know what it is. I know it's that like I'm just picking up all the energy of anxious people on a plane, but it's bad.

[00:23:51] I mean, it makes me hate flying, you know? 'cause it, and it's like, I mean, I've done all the, like, blocking the visual visualizations of it's just me. Like I put the wall and the bubble around, you know, all that stuff. But it's still like, if I'm around a, in a place where there's a lot of energy like that, it just, like, I'm so anxious and, and I know it's not really my anxiety.

[00:24:08] It's everybody else's too, and mine, you know,

[00:24:10] Lauren: Yeah.

[00:24:11] Kym: that stuff's tough. Yeah.

[00:24:12] Lauren: Yeah, totally. That's actually something that I've been diving into ever since the beginning of this year. I've really been kind of on this path of self-mastery. So now knowing our human design, knowing where our weak spots are, right, where we can pick up energy from others, how do we work with that?

[00:24:32] How do we filter? Because those open centers, while yes, they are designed to absorb, well, not absorb, but like they can absorb information and energy from others. But what is the optimal function of these spaces? So how do we allow the energetics of that center to move through us without. Grasping it and like holding it, you know.

[00:24:56] And so one of the ways that I have done that is I've recorded a meditation. It's called a self-mastery meditation, and it basically takes you through all nine of the centers. So there's a masterclass in that and also the meditation, and I recommend doing it daily. Once you do it daily for like five to seven days, you'll be able to do it on your own.

[00:25:19] So you don't need to necessarily follow it 'cause it's about 15 minutes long. But it's a super simple practice that just helps you to realign with who you are and the energy that you are meant to exude and the energy that you're meant to release, if that makes

[00:25:36] Kym: Yes. I love that. You'll have to give us the link so

[00:25:39] Lauren: I absolutely

[00:25:40] Kym: can download that. Yeah. Yeah. It sounds like super important for me

[00:25:43] Lauren: It is, and I'll just speak really quickly on as well because you and I were talking about the times

[00:25:51] Kym: Yeah.

[00:25:52] Lauren: the current state of affairs and this is something that's so interesting.

[00:25:55] So if you didn't listen to the last episode I mentioned, I think that I did my undergrad in psychology and I remember at one point studying the evolution of psychology. So, and I did my thesis on the evolution of bullying. And what's interesting is I found myself recently down a rabbit hole of the evolution of human design.

[00:26:14] So it kind of takes it further beyond psychology and like, okay, how are we like evolving now as a species? We've evolved physically, like our bodies have evolved. If you believe in evolution and all of that jazz we have evolved in that way, but now we're in a place where we're actually evolving on a more energetic level that we can't see.

[00:26:37] And so there's a lot happening on a cosmic level, but also a lot happening on a consciousness level, like a one consciousness level. Where I'm noticing that lately people are really experiencing a lot of struggle and challenge in their life and things are being kind of upheaved, if that's the right word, like to be looked at and to kind of push us into more of a state of feeling instead of a state of surviving. So, human design kind of explains this as, you know, we've come from a place of, and we're, coming out of a place of manifesting for survival needs, right? Think of like, okay, we wanna manifest more money. Why to pay our bills, to feed ourselves, to whatever, whatever, whatever.

[00:27:26] And so we're coming out of a place where we have basically functioned for survival and we're, Evolving into the center, the emotional solar plexus actually, that's the latest center to have evolved in human design.

[00:27:40] And we are stepping into more of a place of manifesting through feeling and manifesting just based on pure desire, not like necessarily a need for survival.

[00:27:51] So collectively speaking, like from a big picture lens of all of this. We have been in transition and we are still in transition, and this is why I'm really diving into this whole self-mastery practice, is because things are gonna continue to move and change, right? How do we hold ourselves through that movement and change because we can't really stop

[00:28:14] Kym: Right. It's gonna happen anyway. Mm-hmm.

[00:28:16] Lauren: Yeah. So how do we, how do we align with who we are and work with the energy instead of dig our heels in and kind of, you know, get dragged through the mud. So, yeah.

[00:28:29] Kym: How did we do it?

[00:28:31] Lauren: Yeah. Yeah. Well, exactly. It's working through, it's working through all of these, yeah. Working through the chart, working through the centers and self mastering. Right. So having I'm gonna be opening up spots, if anyone's interested in doing like a deep dive. That's kind of like my current calling right now is like, I really just wanna help people embody who they are. And so that's how we, we self master is by becoming super aware of where we're picking up from others and where we're allowing maybe life to impact our energy and tuning back into who we are as individuals so that we can show up authentically in our power.

[00:29:14] Kym: Wow. That's awesome. I love it.

[00:29:18] Lauren: Yeah, it's really, it is a fun place

[00:29:21] Kym: Yeah. It's really cool that you do this work. Yeah. I'm just listening to you talk. It's like, it evolves forever. I mean, basically, I mean, we talked about this a little bit before we hit record, even like human design, there's different like levels over a lifetime.

[00:29:32] Right. So isn't there like three major transitions? I'm, I don't know much about this at all, but I'm just like, that's what I remember, like throughout your life, that we actually like live like three different lives almost. and we're supposed to in a way, right? Is

[00:29:46] Lauren: Yeah, yeah.

[00:29:47] Kym: can't remember.

[00:29:48] Lauren: No. So what you're talking about is the six line. So your profile in human design is a six two. So, it's only for the people who have a six in their profile. Mm-hmm.

[00:30:00] Kym: Gotcha. Okay. So it's different for everybody.

[00:30:02] Lauren: we can talk about the stages of evolution as well because, you know, we come into the world, kind of whole and complete as babies, right? Like when you're born into the world, you don't really have a ton of other than maybe generational, which that's huge.

[00:30:16] Genetics get passed down and all of that, depending on what you believe in. And then we get exposed to life and we kind of, you know, acquire lots of childhood traumas and everything.

[00:30:25] And yeah, so there's definitely cycles in terms of awareness and like evolving in that way. But what you're talking about that, I'm glad you brought up 'cause I forgot and I wanted to touch on it, is the six line. And so in a profile, your profile six two minus four six,

[00:30:44] Kym: Hmm.

[00:30:44] Lauren: so anyone who has the six, the six operates in three life phases,

[00:30:50] Kym: Okay. I didn't realize that, that there

[00:30:52] Lauren: yeah.

[00:30:53] Kym: sixes. Okay. Mm-hmm.

[00:30:54] Lauren: So from zero to like 29, 30, you're in a trial and error phase where you're basically just like doing anything and everything to gain life experience when you reach 29 is when your life starts to transition to move onto the roof. So that's the phase that I'm currently in. I'm 31 turning 32 this year, and my, I got divorced at 28 or

[00:31:20] Kym: Oh wow.

[00:31:21] Lauren: life changed. I. Went from being married to a man to being in a relationship with a

[00:31:26] Kym: Oh my

[00:31:26] Lauren: I, yeah. And then we recently moved. Yeah, a lot of life change and then I had to like figure out how to be my authentic self through that and not allow other people's judgments or criticisms to impact me because there was a lot of, a lot of that as well.

[00:31:42] And yeah, it's just, it's been really crazy. So the thirties like beginning of the thirties era for people with a six line can be really big. Or if you're aligned and on the right track, then it might not be so

[00:31:55] my life clearly needed an upheaval, so that's what I got. And then, yeah, last year we moved from the jungle in Mexico basically to Montreal, a big city, and that was a whole adjustment period.

[00:32:07] So I'm currently feeling myself start to settle onto the roof. It takes about until 34 to actually feel fully settled on the roof. I have recently understood. Yeah. I thought it was gonna be so much faster. So I'm like, okay, when's, when's it coming?

[00:32:25] Kym: let's get this settled.

[00:32:26] Lauren: Yeah. Let me relax, please. but no, I, I feel this year finally I'm like, okay, I can finally like ground and I'm coming back into my power and like, just like, yeah, it's huge shift.

[00:32:39] So that phase lasts until around 50.

[00:32:43] And then around the age of 50, we go through another cycle where we're coming off the roof, and that's where we step into that mentorship role of the six. So not to say that you can't, I've been a mentor in my business. For quite a few years, but it's not to say you can't be the mentor earlier, it's just like, basically the, purpose of the sixth line is to go through life, acquire a ton of experiences, and then in the second phase to reflect on those experiences and really just go inward and I wanna say find yourself, but like, yeah, like reflect on all of the things that worked or didn't work and, and continue doing that inner part. That's like the phase that I am researching more on now because I'm in it and then I, yeah, at 50 you come off of the roof and I'm assuming, I don't know how old you are based

[00:33:36] Kym: I'm, I'm gonna be 50 next April. I just turned 49. Yeah.

[00:33:40] Lauren: Okay, so when it comes to speaking, I have a feeling like if you just wait and sit with it, like you are gonna turn 50, and I think that after that it might not be 50 51, 52, 53, it might be 55, whatever. But that is probably, I'm gonna say when you'll be initiated to do more public speaking if you're already receiving the signs or the requests or like that as an opportunity to step into it can be a good time to just kind of sit with that, like not to feel pressured by it, you know? Not to

[00:34:15] Kym: I do it. I've,

[00:34:16] Lauren: you and to, yeah.

[00:34:18] Kym: and every time I'm like, sick for weeks,

[00:34:21] Lauren: Oh, no.

[00:34:22] Kym: like, why do you keep doing this? It's like, 'cause I have to, I literally have to, you know, then I, I keep waiting for that, like door deterred or whatever, where it's like, okay, now it's time and I feel comfortable, you know?

[00:34:33] But yeah,

[00:34:33] Lauren: Yeah, I think it'll come. I think it will come. 'Cause that, yeah, that is when we kind of step into our more mentorship role. Someone that has gone through this whole transition is actually Pamela Anderson which is interesting. So she kind of was like huge, like spotlight and then she like disappeared for a really long time and now she's coming back out again and she, I don't know if you've seen photos of her, but she's just like totally embraced her natural

[00:35:03] Kym: Oh, I don't think I

[00:35:04] Lauren: and all of that. Yeah. So really cool just to see how everyone's personal journey is

[00:35:10] Kym: Yeah. That's awesome. So how many lines are there? Um,

[00:35:15] Lauren: There are six. Yeah. And they all make up different profiles. So there's like one, four, there's two four, what I really love about this tool is there's so many permutations of a chart that it's just like. You have no choice but to accept that literally every single individual's different.

[00:35:34] And that literally, like not every single answer is gonna fit for everybody because all of us are unique and different. And that's what I really love about this is like sharing with people how unique and different they are. Because so many of us are trying to be other people. We're trying to, you know, do it the right way or do it the way that they did it.

[00:35:51] And Logically fight our way there. But you know, when we really embrace our chart and kind of start to learn how to work with the energy of the universe and like responding to what's presenting itself in front of us, I don't know, life can, can really just become like a magical place to be instead of a place where you feel a lot of pressure.

[00:36:11] Kym: I love it. I love this tool. I think it's so cool. I always, I keep saying like, I'm really gonna dive into it more one day, but you know, I, I haven't that much. But yeah, thanks for sharing all this. Like, I just, I hope people listen and we'll go check it out. Do you have like a website you recommend for just the free, kind of like once over to get your profile? I mean, I mean, I know you work with people and we could talk about that too, but, um.

[00:36:35] Lauren: I really like genetic matrix, however, that I would say is maybe more for people who wanna use a tool for clients and more like at the advanced level. There is another one called, I believe it's called My Human Design, and it's by a human design teacher. Her name is Jenna Zoe, I believe. But I can link that as well. I'll send you the link to both of those options.

[00:37:02] And yeah, her tool's great because it kind of gives you the basic information. You can kind of click around and learn just very basics. And then when you're ready to take it to the next level and really like implement the tool into your life, then you can come to me and we can work on those tools.

[00:37:17] We can work on the embodiment piece and like moving the energy and shifting the energy and just realigning on all levels. So, yeah.

[00:37:26] Kym: love that. Thank you so much. Thanks for coming back and sharing this, and

[00:37:31] Lauren: Absolutely.

[00:37:32] Kym: everyone listening will put it down in the show notes and then you can reach out to Lauren and work with her. I might need to, anyway.

[00:37:37] Lauren: Yeah,

[00:37:38] Kym: I think last time I talked to you I was like, I should reach out to her. Just because I, I've always wanted to delve more into it.

[00:37:43] I mean, I did have that therapist that did it with me, and I think she used that matrix thing that you're talking about, where it really got in depth and, you know, occasionally the different things we're working on, she'd be like, well, remember your human design says this or that. But that was like probably 15 years ago

[00:37:58] Lauren: Mm. Oh wow.

[00:38:00] Kym: like, I don't even remember half of what we talked about then, but yeah.

[00:38:04] So anyway, thank you. Oh, go

[00:38:06] Lauren: pleasure? No, I was just gonna say, what's really cool about the tool is like when you are working with someone, and this is, you know, what I wanna be doing more of kind of with my clients. I really want that spaciousness to. Dive in so that, you know, we can work together over a long-term period.

[00:38:22] But like when you do that, it becomes almost second nature, you know, instead of having like a one-off reading, which I also love doing those, but I find like the longer term support really helps to let it all sink in, you know, and you walk away with. A really deep understanding of not only who you are, but what works really well for you.

[00:38:44] So yeah, it's fun. I love it. I love the work I do.

[00:38:47] Kym: And you might, you might totally cringe at this, but some of my listeners know I'm obsessed with AI and I

[00:38:52] Lauren: Oh, I love

[00:38:53] Kym: I totally put my human design into chat, GPT, and it knows my human design. And it like, you know, it curtails answers towards like my human design. It's not a human design expert, obviously, but

[00:39:04] Lauren: I have also put my chart in because I want it to know like who I am and like respond to me in that way. Um, However, it does get things very wrong sometimes. Just as a disclaimer for anybody using it. I don't recommend it as a one, only like source of truth because it does mess up but it is, I love

[00:39:22] Kym: Yeah. Oh good. yeah. You actually need a person like you that's sort of intuitive and already knows this and has experience and knows your quirks and all that stuff to help you really

[00:39:31] Lauren: Totally. Well, that's the thing too, right? Because everyone's lives are so individual and unique. So while this tool can shed light on so much, like it doesn't always necessarily shed light on a specific situation that you're dealing with, you know? So yeah. Yeah. But it's all great. Yeah,

[00:39:48] Kym: Yes. Well, thank you for coming. I really appreciate it. It's good to see you again.

[00:39:52] Lauren: Yeah, you too. Thanks for letting me look at your chart and for being open to these conversations. I

[00:39:58] Kym: You're welcome. Yeah, and if you find anything really weird in there, feel free to email me now.

[00:40:02] Lauren: I will

[00:40:03] Kym: Thanks a lot.
